About me
So, my name is Evy Demetri, I'm in my early 30's, married and have two lovely girls of my own. We live in the Alwoodley area of Leeds only a few minutes walk from both Alwoodley and St. Pauls Primary Schools, as well as the library, play groups and local parks.

I have a long standing history of working in the childcare profession, working for both the private and public sectors. Through the years I have gained lots of valuable experience, knowledge and skills, with my most recent post at Leeds City Council as a Child Centre Assistant Manager.

Caring for children is something I have always found rewarding, and it has always been an ambition to run my own nursery, becoming a childminder is the beginning of that journey.

My Qualifications
I am of course Ofsted registered (reg no. EY494262, on the 9th October 2015) and fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, previously known as CRB) checked, as is my husband. I also hold First Aid Paediatric training and certification.
I am fully insured as a member of the Professional Association for Children and Early Years – PACEY.

I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies, and have completed both Child Protection Levels 1 & 2 as well as a GNVQ in Health and Social Studies.

In my early years starting in childcare I worked at private nurseries gaining invaluable experience, then I wanted more of a challenge and moved into more managerial roles at Leeds City Council, where I was also Ofsted registerd and responsible for a centre. I therefore have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Safeguarding.

My working hours are Term Time Tuesday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm and charge £5.25 per hour.

Its best to get in touch to discuss your individual needs and make sure I have availability as I have a ratio that I must adhere to.
